HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson police took a man into custody Wednesday evening on assault and illegal discharge of a weapon charges.
According to Captain Dustin Loepp, at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, officers of the Hutchinson Police Department were dispatched to 316 N Cleveland in reference to a report of gunshots being fired in the front yard of the residence.
When officers arrived, they determined that there had been a disturbance at the residence involving the resident 24-year-old Micah Boham and a male neighbor that lived nearby.
It was reported that the neighbor was asked to leave but refused and Boham then obtained a loaded handgun and fired one shot in the direction of the neighbor.
Boham was booked on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and illegal discharge of a weapon charges.
