LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas freshman big man Ernest Udeh Jr. officially entered his name into the transfer portal on Thursday morning. Udeh confirmed the news via Twitter.
Udeh is the eighth Jayhawk to hit the transfer portal this offseason. He averaged eight minutes per game as a freshman, 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds. Udeh came on strong late in the season after Zuby Ejiofor suffered a foot injury.
The Jayhawks now have three available scholarship spots. Kanas recently landed big man Hunter Dickinson, but have since lost Udeh Jr. and Ejiofor to the transfer portal, both of which would have played significant rolls at the five spot.
