William “JR” Carl Long Jr., 66, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at his home in Hutchinson, KS.
JR was born July 18, 1956 in Atchison, KS to William C. and Joan (Jacobs) Long Sr. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Kansas State University. JR was retired from his families clothing business. He enjoyed golfing with his dad and watching K-State sports. JR was a big part of his niece, Reaghan and nephew, Sam’s life.
JR is survived by his father, Bill; a sister, Ann Farley; two brothers, Jim Long and Scott (Tenley) Long; two nephews, Seth (Kristin) Farley and Kyle (Ashley) Long; three nieces, Tessa (Miles Everhart) Farley, Rachel Long and Sara Long; and several great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his mother, Joan Long.
Cremation has taken place and will have a private family gathering. Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
