
PRETTY PRAIRIE, Kan. — After years of getting close but not being able to reach the top spot, the Pretty Prairie High School Forensics team won the 1A state title.
After three second-place finishes, four third place and three fourths in the past 11 years, the team finally won it all.
The Bulldogs won with a score of 307, Sylvan-Lucas was second with 284 and Coldwater-South Central third at 255. The team reached the semi-finals in 15 of its 16 events and seven went on to compete for medals.
Jaden McGinnis led the way with a first-place finish in Informative Speaking. Jaeli Deel finished in fifth.

Extemporaneous Speech: Kai Smith finished in fourth place.
Humorous Solo Acting: Copper Collins finished fifth
Original Oration: Carlin Stucky fourth and Raegan McLeland fifth
Oral Interpretation: Copper Collins finished fourth
