Preliminary hearing: Kan. art teacher accused of sex crime with student

SEDGWICK COUNTY– A Kansas teacher, accused of sex crimes involving a student, is due back in court Tuesday.

Nicole Morgan Baird Hernandez, 30, will appear for a preliminary hearing, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.

In May, she was charged with four counts of unlawful sexual relations with a student, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.  She was an art teacher at Wichita North High School, according to the school web site. The student involved was over the age of 16, according to the arrest report.

On May 22, police arrested her in the 300 Block of West Tyler in Wichita. She met the requirement for bond and was released from custody the following day.
