KANSAS CITY —Police are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just before 1a.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to a shooting reported in the area of 16th Street and Fremont Avenue, according to Officer Alyana Gonzalez.
First responders found an adult male victim inside of a vehicle unresponsive and suffering from gunshot trauma. Officers attempted to render medical aid until EMS personnel responded and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. The victim ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
Preliminary information indicates the victim was outside working on a vehicle when an interaction between the victim and another adult male escalated into gunfire. The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival. Police do not have suspect details and did not report the name of the victim.
