WISDOM IN MOTION
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Wisdom In Motion is inviting families across Hutchinson and Reno County to celebrate Halloween during its 2nd Annual Spooktacular.
The free community event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Homebuilder's Shelter in Hutchinson. The event is open to the public and will feature Halloween activities and opportunities for families to learn more about the organization.
Activities will include a trunk-or-treat, costume contests and games for children and families. The evening will also feature the Golden Spatula Crockpot Cook-Off, with community members competing with their favorite crockpot dishes for the Golden Spatula trophy.
Organizers said the Spooktacular also provides an opportunity for residents to learn about Wisdom In Motion's youth programs, volunteer opportunities and other community initiatives.
“We just want everyone to come out, bring the kids, and have a good time,” Wisdom In Motion leadership said in a news release. “We had so much fun last year, and we’re excited to do it again.”
Admission to the Spooktacular is free. Those interested in competing in the crockpot cook-off can register in advance.
Wisdom In Motion is located at 314 W. First Ave. in Hutchinson.
