Zoo gender identity party and raffle is Friday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Couples are always having a gender reveal when they are expecting an addition to the family. The Hutchinson Zoo thinks that's a great idea for their two new additions to the animal family.

On April 24th of this year, the Hutchinson Zoo welcomed two baby beavers to mom Nora and dad Clover.  Unlike most animals it is not easy to identify the gender of a beaver. With the help of the UC Davis  Veterinary Genetics Laboratory the zoo has the results.

Now you get to join in on the fun, as the zoo is hosting a gender reveal raffle and gender reveal party. To participate in the raffle please use the following link https://bit.ly/BabyBeaverGenderRaffle or visit the zoo gift shop before 3 p.m. Friday.  The gender reveal will follow at 3 p.m. and one person or family with the correct guess will win a special meet and greet with the Zoo’s beaver family.

The correct winner will be announced after the official gender reveal party. Participants need not be present to win.  You’ll want to come out and see the little ones because they will be leaving for another destination in the future. The zoo will contact the raffle winner to set up a separate experience.
