HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Health Department says that Friday’s vaccination clinic was successful. The department says all 800 individuals were vaccinated with the majority being 78 years old and older.

Another clinic will take place this Thursday, Feb. 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hutchinson Sports Arena. There will be 700 doses available with the focus on ages 75 and over, and 65 and over with increased risk factors. There are currently more than 3,400 individuals still on the Health Department’s pre-registration list. After this week’s clinic, the Health Department will have vaccinated 23.9% of the eligible 65 and over population in Reno County. This does not include those who were vaccinated at other locations.

If you have already pre-registered for the vaccine, there is no need to register again. You will still be in the system for future clinics. Please note the vaccination site will NOT be accepting walk-ins.

For information on the vaccine or to pre-register, visit the Reno County website at https://www.renogov.org/741/COVID-19 or call 844-834-3657.  To locate other vaccination sites in Reno County, visit www.kansasvaccine.gov/160/Find-My-Vaccine.
