MBB: Stuart scores 17 in return

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — For the last three games, No. 19 Hutchinson (21-6, 15-6) was without leading scorer Angelo Stuart. 

That changed Wednesday night. 

Stuart came off the bench in his return that featured 17 points on five made three-pointers.

His effort broke the single-season three-point mark. He now has 83 triples this year. 

The Dragons made nine triples to break the team record for the season that was set at 254. 

Seward (11-18, 8-15) slowed down the pace of the game as the teams battled to a 32-29 halftime score. 

Hutchinson held the advantage after leading by as many as 10.

The game was still close with 6:58 left when Kobe Campbell scored and was fouled. His And-1 put Hutchinson up 52-51.

Hutchinson would then close the game on a 21-8 run.

Stuart (17) was one of three Dragons to score in double figures. 

Kaimen Lennox had 16 points and eight rebounds. 

Kobe Campbell scored 13 and snagged nine boards. 

Seward got a monster game from Harvin Ibarguen. His double-double featured 26 points and 12 rebounds. 

The score was tied five times and the lead changed 12 times. 

Hutchinson shot 49% from the field and held Seward to 39.7%.
