
Pearl Lenora Cabral, 98, of Hutchinson, died November 2, 2023, at Good Samaritan Society-Hutchinson Village. She was born January 26, 1925, in Kansas City, MO.
A devoted wife and mother, Pearl worked in housekeeping at First National Bank for many years before getting her CNA license at age 60. She then worked as a CNA for over 10 years in several area nursing homes, including Golden Plains, before retiring. Pearl had also worked at the Naval air base near Yoder during WWII. She enjoyed drawing, singing, collecting for the March of Dimes, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, and spending time with her dog, Butch. Pearl had been a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for many years, where she served on the Altar Society, and was currently a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.
On June 21, 1951, she married Jesus Sanchez Cabral in Hutchinson. They shared nearly 47 years of marriage before his death on January 4, 1998.
Pearl is survived by: her children, Patrick Cabral (Carolyn) of Topeka, Randolph Cabral of Wichita, Gerard Cabral of Arkansas City, Kim Cabral of Peabody, Jesse Cabral of Peabody, Gretchen Sanchez of Hutchinson; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; and children, Brenda Cabral, Jerome Cabral, Judith Cabral, Jeff Cabral, and Nelda Petering.
According to Pearl’s wishes, her body will be cremated.
Parish Rosary will be 10 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2023, both at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E 5th Ave., Hutchinson. Inurnment will follow in Eastside Cemetery.
Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until the day of service at Elliott Mortuary.
