Glen Russell Wagler, 83, died September 20, 2025, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  He was born November 19, 1941, in Hutchinson, to John Rufus and Esther Evangeline (Krenzin) Wagler.

Glen graduated from Nickerson High School in 1960. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965.  Glen worked as a truck driver for Walmart and Dillons, and drove a school bus for USD 309 Nickerson-South Hutchinson.  

Glen enjoyed traveling and flying, and held a private pilot’s license for a period of time. In his 60’s, he was a driver in Iraq, where he transported military personnel to their respective bases. Glen appreciated this opportunity to help out those serving during the war.

Glen is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; brothers, Charles Wagler (Lurlene) and Raymond Wagler (Sue); and nephews, Linc Wagler and Jim Wagler.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Sterling Evangelical Bible Cemetery, 3017 N. Sterling Road, Sterling, with Pastor Lowell Entz officiating.  Military honors will be conducted by the McConnell Air Force Base Honor Guard. Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials  are suggested to Hospice House, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.
