🏀 MBB: Dragons win second straight

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Dragons built a 23-point lead with a little more than four minutes left in the first half Monday night against Colby.

That lead dwindled to six with less than two minutes gone in the second half.

Hutchinson (10-5, 4-5), winners of two straight after dropping four-consecutive games, got 21 points and 11 rebounds from Aaron Franklin.

Colby (4-10, 1-7) got 22 from Anthony Sellars and 21 from Mike Bell.

Ra'Sean Frederick played in his second-straight came since coming back from injury. He has played two games but practiced just once since his return Saturday at Dodge City. Frederick dropped 17 points.

Jayden Garrison scored 11 points off the bench.

Hutchinson used the final 18 minutes to pull away from Colby 96-81.

Hutchinson outscored Colby in the paint 64-46.

Hutchinson scored 37 points off 33 Colby turnovers.
