Becky (Salmon) Rich |1948-2023|

Becky (Salmon) Rich, 74, died February 9, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Mary Beth Salmon on September 27, 1948, in Hutchinson, to Gerald and Bernice (Kaufman) Salmon.

Becky graduated from Buhler High School and Hutchinson Community College. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker for many years. Becky loved to spend time in nature, especially with flowers and birds. Some of her hobbies included cooking, baking, tennis, knitting, and golf. Becky was the oldest sister of five girls and loved her role as the big sister. She was also a member of Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson

Becky married Gary Schmidt on August 24, 1967; he passed on December 5, 1969. She married Garry Rich on July 5, 1970; he passed away on December 7, 1971. Becky married Phil Hofer on February 24, 1978, who passed away on November 21, 1989. On July 30, 1993, Becky married Dan Rich, in Hutchinson. He survives.

She is survived by: husband, Dan Rich, Hutchinson; children, Amy Albright (Rex), Hutchinson, Kathy Skinner (Clinton Troyer), Hutchinson; step children, Carey Rich, Kansas City, Missouri, Matt Rich (Brandi), Hutchinson, Carolyn Hofer Zimmerman (Mark), Salina, Paul Hofer Shannon, York, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Ashley, Allyson, Dylan, and Zack; seven step grandchildren; sisters, Bev Wright, Hutchinson, Marsha Maatta (Jim), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sherri Parrish (Dan), Flower Mound, Texas, Donna Salmon, Hutchinson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Becky was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands, Gary Schmidt, Garry Rich, and Phil Hofer; and son, Joseph “Joe” Schmidt.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary, with Father Aaron Spexarth presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friend may call from 9 am to 8 pm Monday with family present from 1 to 3 pm at Elliott Mortuary.
