Sheila I. Forney, 81, died May 23, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Hutchinson, KS, on December 18, 1942 to Cecil N. and Dorothy A (Creech) Browning.
Sheila graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1960 and Hadley School of Business. Sheila served in the United States Army for a year and a half before being honorably discharged to start her family. She then served 9 years in the National Guard. She worked as a secretary for Colladay Hardware and St. Francis Ministries before retiring. She enjoyed counted cross-stitch, tole painting, coloring and computer games. On July 13, 1979 she married, Lawrence “Larry” Forney. He died March 16, 2016.
Sheila is survived by: son, Anthony “Tony” (Stephanie) Morgan, Hayward, CA; daughter, Annette Morgan, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Elin and Luke Morgan, Hayward, CA; Rhonda Rodriguez, Harry, Matt and Melody Forney; special cousins, Sue, Sherri and Kris; best friend of 57 years, Mary Starks; and many other wonderful friends.
Sheila is preceded in death by: her husband; parents; and brother, Gary L. Browning; beloved poodles, Gidget, Princess, Peaches and Goldie.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service at Fairlawn Burial Park will be held at a later date.

Annette would like to thank the wonderful caretakers and friends, Dr. Gem (Tony Babson), Bob Diasio, Khristie Goodwin, the nurses, aides, therapists, food service staff and administration at Good Samaritan that cared for not only my mother, but myself as well. There are many and I am thankful for each one of you.
