HUTCHINSON, Kan. — As part of its agenda on Wednesday, the Board of County Commissioners will see a proposed agreement, as the Sheriff's Office and Hutton Construction have been working on details for phase one of the commission approved shooting range at the county's landfill.
In July 2022, the county commission authorized moving forward on phase 1 with an amount not to exceed $600,000. Hutton Construction and the Sheriff's Office have had conversations to formalize the details and look over the lowest bids given to Hutton by sub-contractors.
Hutton Construction has proposed an agreement to formally begin phase 1 with a guaranteed maximum price of $507,760.
This money is already slated to come out of CIP funds and has been budgeted.
The Board of Reno County Commissioners meets Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Veterans Room at the Reno County Courthouse.
