Willis M. Koehn, 95, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Moundridge Manor. He was born February 2, 1928 in Montezuma, Kansas, the son of Fred P. and Sarah (Smith) Koehn.
He attended Montezuma public schools.
Willis was a member of the Meridian Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in rural Hesston.
He was united in marriage to Arlene P. Giesel on March 25, 1951 at Greensburg, Kansas. She survives of the home after over 72 years of marriage.
Willis worked in housing construction and was a dairy farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene of the home; daughters, Charmaine (Alvin) Wedel of Fulton, Kentucky, and Shana Walker of Columbus, Mississippi; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, JoAnn Nightengale of Century, Florida, Helen Unruh of Montezuma, and June (Ken) Schoonover of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a brother-in-law, LaVern Schmidt of Montezuma.
Willis was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Anthony Koehn; one brother; and eight sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Meridian Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, rural Hesston. Burial will follow at the Lone Tree Church Cemetery, rural Galva. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the church.
