HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson USD 308 School Board will go through a reorganization meeting to kick off the new fiscal year on Monday.
That includes the election of a new board president and vice president and the usual appointments and designations.
Once the board gets down to business, the board will have to deal with putting a Narcan policy into place. With the opioid crisis in the area, the district will go over a new policy to have Narcan nasal spray in place for students, employees and other individuals. The Narcan would be in every school building, and any nursing or non-nursing employee may possess and administer Narcan after training.
Also Monday, the board will go into executive session to discuss contract negotiations with the teachers union, mileage rates for the year and go over the gifts to the school district.
Monday's meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Hutchinson Career and Technical Education Academy at 800 15th Circle.
