2023 Gathering for Gardeners is Saturday

Posted Mar 08, 2023 3:10 PM

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The 2023 edition of the annual Gathering for Gardeners is March 11 in Hutchinson. This is free information from experts for every level that wants to get their hands dirty this year.

The Hutchinson Horticulture Club is bringing the event back after two years off due to the pandemic. This would have been the 34th year for the event, had it been able to be held each year.

"The event is good if you're interested in gardening at all," said Betty Taylor with the club. "You don't have to be an expert. You can be just learning. Our club is one of those clubs that wants to help people do better gardening."

The all day event is at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church at 407 East 12th just west of the Kansas Cosmosphere. There is no charge for the event, but you must register at the door.

"We want their name and the city they came from," Taylor said. "I find it quite interesting. Through the years, I think we've had over 30 cities represented at this. I need kind of a head count to make us feel good about putting this on for the community."
