Pauline Rogers, 90, of Galva, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas.
Pauline was born in Greensburg, Kansas on October 29, 1933, the daughter of Amel and Clara (Nightengale) Koehn.
Pauline attended Greensburg grade school. In 1942 her family moved to Galva, where she attended Galva grade school, Galva, Kansas.
Through the years Pauline worked as a homemaker and took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also worked in the kitchen at Galva School District and for Charles Helgeson finishing cabinets with her sister Joann.
Pauline enjoyed traveling to Israel, puzzles, painting, playing harmonica, playing cards, dancing and spending time with her friends and family.
Pauline was united in marriage to Harold Eugene "Gene" Rogers on June 9, 1955 in McPherson, Kansas. Gene passed away June 16, 2009, 4 days before his brother Jim.
She is survived by her daughter, Tamlyn Jo Hoppes, of High Springs, Florida; her sister, Genevieve Powers, of Park City, Kansas; her grandchildren, Cassandra, Jeremy, Amanda and Ashley; and great-grandchildren,Dustin, Ariana, Hendrix and Irie.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold E. "Gene" Rogers; her siblings, Pauline Koehn, Verneta Yost, Cecelia "Joann" Helgeson, Henry "Hank" Koehn, Weldon Koehn, Willard "Pete" Koehn and John Harold Koehn.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home in McPherson.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Harmony Christian Church in McPherson with Troy Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Empire Cemetery, rural Galva.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Christian Church or Galva Senior Center and they can be sent in care of the Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home, 222 West Euclid, McPherson, Kansas 67460.
