Thanksgiving enforcement stats told

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Police Department released the statistics Tuesday from its saturation patrol over the Thanksgiving enforcement period. 

Over the period of November 21st and November 22nd, Hutchinson officers wrote 5 adult/ teen safety belt citations, 5 driver license violations, 5 insurance violations along with approximately 22 other citations and made 3 arrests for misdemeanor warrants. 64 counterfeit Oxycodone tablets containing fentanyl along with other drug and drug paraphernalia were located and seized during a traffic stop resulting in a felony arrest. All told, officers made 29 enforcement stops during the campaign.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Thanksgiving Safe Arrival traffic enforcement campaign was supported by a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation.
