James Isaac Marshall Jr., 59, passed from this life into the arms of his Savior on October 31, 2024. He was born on January 20, 1965, in Hutchinson, KS to James Isacc Marshall Sr. and Elsie Mae (Tauber) Marshall.
On April 18, 1987, he married Brenda Doughty in Hutchinson. Together they had two children, Curtis and Nishelle. Jimmy was an amazing husband and wonderful father and always put his family first.
Jimmy was employed at J & J Drainage for 34 years and 5 years at Superior Boiler. He loved his family, his church family and his work family. Jimmy was always helping somebody work on a vehicle or a house project. He enjoyed riding his Harley with his family and friends and made sure everyone had a Toy Run button each November. Jimmy was a faithful member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle for 38 years.
Jimmy is survived by: his wife, Brenda Marshall; son, Curtis J. Marshall, both of Hutchinson; daughter, Nishelle (Spencer) Tomlinson of Wichita; step-grandson, Jackson; siblings, Joyce Siebuhr, Richard (Dee) Marshall, Jackie Pina, Esther Bennett, Francis (Cindy) Marshall, Russell (Tyra) Marshall, all of Hutchinson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Bill Marshall and Timothy Marshall; and sisters Vivian Helzer and Pam Hoag.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in Fairlawn Burial Bark, 2401 Carey Blvd, Hutchinson, with Pastor Nathan Karriker officiating. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, at Elliott Mortuary. Family will greet friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary. The casket will remain closed.
