HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Fire Department responded Monday afternoon to Cargill Salt for a report of two workers stuck on a hydraulic man lift.

Firefighters found the lift about 70 feet above ground. It was having mechanical problems and could not lower the men to the ground. Hutch Fire used a 100-foot aerial ladder to maneuver into position and transfer the workers from the man lift to the aerial platform.

Using the aerial ladder, workers were safely returned to the ground and assessed for injuries within about 15 minutes.

Hutchinson Fire would like to thank Reno County EMS and Hutchinson/Reno County Emergency Communications for their assistance with the incident.
