Sheryl “Sherry” Ann Fiedler, 70, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024, at her son Paul’s home in McPherson.
Sherry was born on March 18, 1954, in Great Bend, KS, the daughter of Anthony Carl and Geraldine Catherine (Leiker) Fiedler. She attended Roosevelt grade school, Park School, McPherson Junior High School and graduated from McPherson High School in 1972.
She was a homemaker, telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, receptionist at Madison Machine Works in Rockford, IL, and waitress at Miss Piggy’s Restaurant in McPherson.
Sherry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, McPherson. She enjoyed going for walks, watching television, and camping with her family. For the past several years, Sherry enjoyed her friends and activities at Bluestem PACE.
Survivors include: her son, Paul Van Nordstrand of McPherson, KS; siblings, Gail Gill (Tim) of Stanley, NM, Janet Stine (Dan) of Roscoe, IL, Ronald Fiedler (Dee) of McPherson, KS, and Randy Fiedler of Moundridge, KS; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Kim Fiedler, Tony Fiedler, Jr., Roger Fiedler, Gregory Fielder, Duane Fiedler, and Annette Fiedler.
A Rosary will be held at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass, on Friday, April 12, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Kerschen officiating.
