KANSAS CITY—One person died in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Saturday in Kansas City.
According to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez, black Hyundai Tucson exited westbound MO-152 Highway onto N. Indiana Avenue. While the traffic signal was green, the vehicle remained stopped as other vehicles drove around it.
When the signal turned red, the driver proceeded through the intersection, continued onto the westbound ramp, left the roadway, traveled up an embankment, and struck a large rock and overturned. EMS pronounced the driver, who was the sole occupant, deceased at the scene, according to Gonzalez.
