JOHNSON COUNTY —Good Catch: On October 16 at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers were alerted to a vehicle traveling southbound on Kansas 7 Highway at a high rate of speed and swerving between lanes, according to a social media report from the police in the city of Shawnee.
The driver initially failed to yield to officers but eventually pulled over. Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and took the driver into custody on a requested charge of driving under the influence. Police did not release the name of the driver.
