Everett "Doyle" Bachelder passed away on Friday, October 14th, 2022 in Bel Aire, Kansas. He was born in Valley Center, Kansas to Everett Leo Bachelder and Mildred Mae (Lavender) Bachelder. A lifelong resident of Valley Center he graduated from VCHS in 1949. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and then upon his return was a letter carrier for the USPS until retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Donna Ash, and brothers William "Bill" Bachelder and Lawrence Bachelder.
Doyle is survived by sons Steve (Celestine) of Wichita, Ken (Mercy) of Rockaway, New Jersey, and Brian (Teresa) of Wichita, and grandchildren Megan, Sara, Nate, Meghan, Eamon, and Ethan, and great-grandchildren Karson, Xander, Conner, Scarlet, Kaleb, Isaac, and Silas; many other family and friends.Graveside service will be held 11 am, Monday, October 24, at Valley Center Memorial Cemetery, Valley Center, Kansas with U.S. Navy Honors.Baker Funeral Home Valley Center has charge.
