COMANCHE COUNTY—A Hutchinson man died in an accident just before 3 a.m. Thursday in Comanche County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Chevy Suburban driven by Ethan A. Shaw, 26, Lewis, was southbound on U.S. 183 approximately two miles north of Avenue C.
A pedestrian identified as 45-year-old Andrew J. Moore of Hutchinson, walking down the middle of roadway stepped out in front of the Suburban. The SUV struck Moore. EMS transported Moore to the Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater where he was pronounced deceased.
Shaw and three passengers in the SUV were not injured.
