
Here's some good news.
Food price increases leveled off in the latest economic report out from the government. That hasn't happened in two years.

Here are the categories that were measured. Fresh fruit, poultry, fish and seafood , dairy products , and cereal and bakery products.
Retail prices fell in the first six months for fats and oils and fresh vegetables. Egg prices averaged 38.5 percent higher between January and June 2025 than they did in all of 2024, but that was because of the flu outbreak that killed millions of chickens.
