
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team picked up their third straight win to start the season with a 100-64 win over Allen County on Tuesday at the Sports Arena.
The Blue Dragons finished with five players in double-figure scoring, led by Kernan Bundy and Kamryn Thomas' 16 points each. Dadrevius Weathers totaled 14, while Valentino Simon and Dallas Whitney each had 13.
Hutchinson (3-0) shot 49 percent from the field, knocking down 39-of-79 field goal attempts. The Blue Dragons went to the foul line 27 times, knocking down 16 of them.
Allen County struggled against the Blue Dragon defense, turning the ball over 33 times, leading to 46 Hutchinson points. The Red Devils were led in scoring by Grayson Ryan's 18 points off the bench.
The Blue Dragons scored 50 points from its starters and another 50 from its bench players.
HutchCC led 53-34 and outscored the Red Devils, 47-30 in the second half.
Hutchinson will travel to Great Bend for the Barton Classic on Friday and Saturday. The Blue Dragons will play Northern Oklahoma College-Enid on Friday at 3 p.m. and Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Friday game will be broadcast live on 102.9-FM KHUT and Saturday on 1450-AM/98.5-FM KWBW.
