HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After a two-year delay due to COVID, Bike Across Kansas will be back for its annual summer ride.
Two years ago, the tour was to stop in Hutchinson. Since the event then was canceled, the route will come to Hutchinson this year.
The ride will begin at the Colorado border west of Syracuse, with overnight stays in Garden City, Spearville, and St. John before making the stop in Hutchinson. From there the route will continue on to Hillsboro, Olpe, and Ottawa. It will conclude at the Missouri border near Louisburg.
Planning meetings have begun to decide how to welcome cyclists when they arrive, and the Hutchinson/ Reno County Chamber of Commerce says they will provide more information soon.
