RENO COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 7:30 a.m. Monday in Reno County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Sterling semi driven by John Arlen Mast, 44, Hutchinson, was eastbound on Kansas 96 approximately 6 miles southeast of South Hutchinson.
The semi struck the left front of an eastbound Massey Ferguson MF240 driven by Samuel Eugene Bontrager, 44, Hutchinson, who had changed lanes in an attempt to turn north onto Halstead Street.
EMS transported Bontrager to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Mast was properly restrained and not injured, according to the KHP. There was not seat belt on the tractor.
