HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Families are invited to join Oxford House Chapter 13 for an Easter Egg Hunt on April 8.
Events will start at 11 a.m. with photos with the Easter Bunny available until 5 p.m. Photos will be printed on site by Alicia K Photos.
There will be two Easter Egg Hunts, one at noon and one at 4 p.m.
The day’s festivities will be by freewill donation to help Oxford House raise funds.
“We’re raising money to send members of our chapter to the World Convention,” Charles Ford with Oxford House said. “We're just raising money right now to get us as many people as we can sent out there.”
The Oxford House World Convention is an annual event where Oxford members from all over the U.S. gather to share their stories and promote recovery from addiction.
“We’re pushing for $10,000 so that we can send close to ten people,” Ford said. “It takes about $1,000 a person to send someone to the World Convention.”
According to Ford, Oxford House Chapter 13 has raised about $2,500.
Oxford House’s Easter Egg Hunt will be at DCI Park located at 20 W. 2nd Ave. in Hutchinson.
