“We are honored to receive this award that recognizes our senior health care communities as quality leaders in the industry nationally,” said James Krehbiel, president and CEO of Bluestem Communities. “This recognition is a reflection of the work our staff dedicate themselves to. Each staff person at Bluestem Communities is committed to person-centered care, relationship and community that offers the best quality care for the seniors we serve.”
Bluestem Communities is a non-profit organization that serves seniors through various living options, care settings and care-centered services. Kidron Bethel Village and Schowalter Villa are life plan communities that offer options across the spectrum of senior living and care, including independent living, assisted living and long-term health care. With locations in McPherson and Hutchinson, Bluestem PACE offers an option for seniors to continue living in their own homes with comprehensive care provided through the Bluestem PACE program.
For the ratings, U.S. News and World Report considered both long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services for several quality measures. The annual ratings help equip individuals and families with information they can use to help choose the right care setting for themselves or a loved one.
