Peace Officers Memorial Day observance May 17

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Law Enforcement from across Reno County will join together Friday, May 17 for the annual Peace Officers Memorial Day observance at 11 a.m. in front of the Law Enforcement Center in Hutchinson.

Reno County Sheriff Darrian Campbell will have an opening statement, then Chaplain Adam Wooten will give the invocation, followed by guest speaker Kansas CPOST Director Doug Schroeder. 

There will be a recognition of fallen officers and the posting of colors and then Hutchinson Police Chief Brice Burlie will have closing remarks.

If there is rain, activities will move indoors to the auditorium in the basement of the Law Enforcement Center.
