Jeannine Kathryn Goertz, 79, of Hutchinson, died November 1, 2025, at Hutchnson Regional Medical Center. She was born September 22, 1946, in Glade, to William and Eva (Mason) Zink.

Jeannine graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1964 and from business college in Denver. She worked as the bookkeeper for her husband’s businesses from 1970-1996. Jeannine was a talented and passionate crafter who loved exploring new creative outlets — from China painting to fused glass to laser cutting. She was also an avid traveler, a dedicated master gardener, and a caring den mother with Cub Scout Pack 303. Above all, Jeannine’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, who were truly the heart of her life. Jeannine was a member of Church of the Holy Cross.

On November 13, 1965, she married Robert A. “Bob” Goertz, in Stockton. They shared 59 years of marriage before his death on March 22, 2025.

Jeannine is survived by: her children, Renee Gates (Randall) of Manhattan, Jim Goertz (Tammy), Darren Goertz (Aubrey), Chris Goertz, Jason Goertz, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Corinne Gates, Mason Gates (Kristen), Tyler Gates, Matthew Gates, Bastian Mills (Caytlin), Dakota Mills (Dakota), Jeremy Goertz, Isaiah Goertz, Gabriel Goetz, Kieran Gallagher, Breckan Gallagher, Camryn Goertz, Eva Goertz, Norah Goertz, Taylor Beshears (Dalton), Alexander Goertz, Carter Goertz, Bailey Goertz, Noah Goertz; and great-grandchildren, Dante Mills, Luna Mills, Liam Mills, Everleigh Beshears and Quinn Beshears.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; great-grandson, Waylon Beshears; husband, Bob; brothers, William “Billy” Zink Jr., Leon Zink, Leonard Zink; and sister-in-law, Magdalena Zink.

Cremation has taken place.

Parish Rosary will be 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., Friday, November 7, 2025, both at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Rd., Hutchinson. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday thru Thursday, with the family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of the Holy Cross, Cub Scout Pack 303, or  Reno County Master Gardeners (make check payable to Reno County Extension), in  care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
