Gerald R Wedel 86, died Friday, June 30, 2023 at his Newton residence. He was born November 11, 1936 in Newton, Kansas to Eben and Julia (Schroeder) Wedel. On October 12, 1956 he married Joyce E Jantz at Grace Hill Mennonite Church and she survives of the home.
Gerald is survived by his wife, 2 sons Rodney and Roger and one daughter Cynthia Fulton. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a infant sister and sisters Evelyn Bartel and Leola Koehn. He is also preceded in death by one grandson Jantz Wedel
A graveside committal service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 4th 2023 at Grace Hill Mennonite Cemetery In Rural Newton, Kansas. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., at Grace Hill Mennonite Church with Pastor Weldon Martens presiding. There will be no public visitation.
