Christine Denice (Wilbur) Heinsohn was born on Oct 7, 1951, in Lawrence, KS, to Robert and Lois Wilbur. After the death of Lois, she was adopted by Phyllis Wilbur.
In her youth, Chris moved around Kansas as her father opened branch offices of his accounting firm. She graduated from Goodland High School in 1969.
Chris attended Kansas State University beginning in August 1969. While at KSU she met David in September 1969. They were married in May 1971. They had one child, Camillia Renee Heinsohn Shepheard, in August 1976.
Chris studied Consumer Economics Education receiving a BS from the State University of New York, and received a Master of Science in Management from Troy State University.
Throughout her working life Chris worked in food service and restaurant management. She spent her last 29 years doing computer training, support, and systems development for a national marketing company.
Chris had several passions through her life including cooking, art, travel, and family.
Chris was the oldest of six children. Her siblings are Jackie, Bobbie, Stephanie, Michele, and Lee. She is survived by all five and her mother Phyllis.
She is also survived by her husband David, daughter Camillia, and Camillia’s husband Paul Shepheard and family.

A celebration of her life will begin on Wednesday, January 11th at 2pm at First Unitarian Universalist Church, 7202 N 21th St, Wichita, KS 67206. A casual in-gathering and memory sharing will begin at 1:30.
