Caleb Quinn Newberry, 20, of McPherson, KS, passed away due to complications with Muscular Dystrophy, on Thursday, December 1, 2022, surrounded by family at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

Caleb was born on June 17, 2002, in McPherson, KS, the son of Robert Lucian Newberry, Jr. and Brenda Nancy (Steel) Newberry.  Caleb attended the McPherson Schools and was currently a student in the STRIVE Program.

Caleb attended Countryside Covenant Church.

Survivors include; his parents, Robert Newberry and Brenda Newberry, both of McPherson, KS; sisters, Sarah Newberry of McPherson, KS and Audrey Miller of Haysville, KS; grandparents, Deborah Steel of McPherson, KS, Dennis & Sherill Carlson of McPherson, KS, and Robert “Bob” & Lorrie Newberry of Antigo, WI; aunts and uncles, Melissa Newberry, Robert Steel, Darla Meyer, Lee & Shirley James, Joan Chandler, Brad & Pam James, Vonda & Steve Keuchler, Diane & Terry Rhea, Lori Carlson, Kelly (Chris) Carlson-Nicola, and Tara (Israel) Flores; and many more extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Robert E. Steel; great-grandparents, Leland & Christine James, Robert & Betty Carlson, Lucian & Olive Newberry, and Richard & Donna Quinn; and an uncle, Steven Carlson.

A visitation/viewing will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 9, at Countryside Covenant Church with Rev. Jeremy Bower officiating.  Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made payable to Stockham Family Funeral Home to help defray funeral costs in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
