Lucy Raigoza, 87, died January 28, 2025, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born August 25, 1937, in Hutchinson, to Delfino and Patrocinia (Juarez) Raya.
Lucy worked at the Dillons Bakery for many years before her retirement. Her faith and family were the most important aspects of her life. Lucy had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and instilled that faith in her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Lucy loved her family unconditionally and had a special bond with her grandchildren. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.
On March 8, 1954, she married Robert J. Raigoza, in Hutchinson. He died September 29, 2014, after they shared 60 years of marriage.
Lucy is survived by: children, Rosetta Ybarra, Greg Raigoza (Kim), Elaine Luna (Richard), Angela Schroeder (Todd), Chris Raigoza (Linda), all of Hutchinson, Robert D. Raigoza of Wichita, and Wendy Morland (Brian) of Hutchinson; sisters, Carmen Tenorio (Alberto) of Hutchinson; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; siblings, Atilano, Bacilio, Paul, Mike, Benny, Isabel, Margaret, and Tita; great-granddaughter, Haley Barlow; and daughter-in-law, Gena Raigoza.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
