
Robert ‘Bob’ Wesley McCullough, 83, passed away May 15, 2023, at his home. He was born November 15, 1939, in Burlington, KS, to John Dee McCullough and Lena J. (Woods) McCullough.
Bob received an Associates Degree from Hutchinson Community College and served in the United States Army. He was employed as the maintenance supervisor and an instructor in the carpentry shop at Hutchinson Correctional Facility, retiring with many years of service. After retirement, Bob managed the Farmers’ Market for more than 15 years. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, KS.
Bob enjoyed woodworking and could make anything from furniture to jewelry boxes. He was also into the building and the construction of homes.
On February 14, 1960, Bob married Winifred Jane Bradshaw, in Ottawa, KS. They shared over 63 years of marriage.
He is survived by: his wife, Winifred ‘Winnie’ McCullough of Hutchinson, KS; and son, Bryan (fiancée Kristina Patterson) McCullough of Hutchinson, KS.
Bob was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Clyde ‘Mac’ McCullough; and sister, Darlene Hadden.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Lisa Dale officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Bailey Cemetery, Burlington, KS. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, and Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
