
Mary “Kay” Bottomley, 71, of Hutchinson, died March 4, 2025, at Hutchison Regional Medical Center. She was born December 23, 1953, in Hutchinson to Wilbur and Pauline (Leeper) Stotts.
Kay attended Buhler High School and Hutchinson High School. She worked in advertising for The Bee, KSKU, and the Hutchinson News.
On June 16, 1995, she married David Bottomley in Hutchinson. They shared 25 years of marriage before his death on July 17, 2020.
Kay is survived by: daughter, Tish Weilert (Cole Allaman); son, Jason Weilert (Nicole); grandchildren, Bailee Weilert (Dustin Rock), Lily Adam (Trevor), Lawson Weilert-Beymer (Emma), Paxton Weilert-Allaman, Tipton Weilert-Allaman; great-grandchildren, Everett Weilert-Beymer, Eila Weilert-Beymer, Jaxton Cooper; brothers, Bob Stotts and Larry Stotts.
She was preceded in death by: parents; father of her children, Ron Weilert; spouse from second marriage, David Brown; husband, David Bottomley; and brother, Tracey Stotts.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary followed by graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Deacon Todd Ray officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Friends may sign her memorial book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
