Belva Kay German, 83, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, at her home in Hutchinson, KS. Kay was born on September 26, 1939, in Neosho County, KS, the daughter of Roscoe P. and Ruth L. (Huckleberry) Vincent. On September 9, 1957, she married Charles D. German in Meade, KS. Kay worked for Winchester Packing and retired in 1983 after 15 years. Kay enjoyed spending her time outdoors and gardening. She also enjoyed crafting. Her main hobby was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; two sisters, Carol Kohart and Judy Vincent; and one brother, Dusty Vincent. Kay is survived by her daughter, Roxie (Mark) Douglas; two grandchildren, Brent (Lydia) Douglas and Michelle (Jim) Miller; two great grandchildren, Blaine Charles Douglas and James Miller; three brothers, Charles (Dee) Vincent, Rex Vincent, and Ronnie (Jodie) Vincent; two sisters, Wendy (Ron) Banta and Cindy (George) Patton and a sister-in-law, Margaret (Bill) Carithers. There will be a private celebration of Kay’s life at a later date. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. A private family interment will take place at Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to The Cancer Council of Reno County and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
