HUTCHINSON, Kan. — On Saturday, a water line break was reported in the 2700 block of East 17th Ave. where 17th transitions to Airport Road. The break is on a 10-inch water line that was installed in 1967.
UPDATE as of 5 p.m. February 13: Public Works Water Maintenance has said that, due to the depth of the water line being repaired and the size of the excavation needed to make the repair, 17th Ave. between Apple Lane and 11th Ave. will remain closed until February 27th so road repairs can be made.
There are no customers affected while this repair is being made. Traffic control will remain in place while the repair is being made to protect the safety of the workers and the public.
