SALINE COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 9:30a.m. Monday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2026 Mack Truck driven by Eric Dalton Shrick, 34, Valley Falls, was southbound on Interstate 135 just south of Smolan Road. The truck traveled on the right shoulder and struck a 2006 Freightliner motorhome driven by Michael David Shreiber, 70, Lake Elsinore, California, who had stopped to use the restroom in the RV.
Shreiber was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Ryan's Mortuary. Shrick, a passenger in the truck and a passenger in the RV identified as Colleen Mary Schreiber, 70, Lake Elsinore, California, were not injured.
