SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — South Hutchinson water bills sent out had an incorrect due date of 2/10/2023. Payments are actually due by 3/10/2023 to avoid any late fees.
The problem was a clerical error by the utility clerk. The city apologizes for the error.
The City of South Hutchinson has also been dealing with some overall staffing issues, as the City Clerk, which is a separate position, has been vacant.
City Manager Joseph Turner told Hutch Post Monday that they have a candidate hired and will appoint her to the position next month, as they plan to cancel their second February meeting due to scheduling conflicts.
