Mackensi Layne Belden, 30, of Valley Center, Kansas, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at her home. She was born on March 4, 1993 in Wichita, the daughter of David Campos and Nancy Belden.
Mackensi graduated from Maize High School with the class of 2011. She was currently working on her Bachelor’s degree in Geology at Wichita State University.
While in school, Mackensi worked for Kansas Geological Survey (KGS).
She loved spending her free time outdoors hiking and camping, especially in Colorado.
She is survived by her parents, David (Cherie) Campos of Wichita, and Nancy Belden (Steve Wine) of Lago Vista, TX; brother, David (Alyssa) Campos of Wichita and their daughter, Alahna; sister, Alexis (Hayden) Morrison of Lago Vista, TX and their son, Drew; maternal grandmother, Linda Schrock of Haven; her boyfriend of three years, Cory Brown of Valley Center; and her beloved dog, Ollie.
Mackensi was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Tony and Gina Campos; and maternal grandfather, Dan Belden.
