HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Kansas State Fair General Manager Bryan Schulz said you cannot trust that every place that says it has tickets for the Fair's grandstand shows actually has them.
"There are a lot of people out there imitating the Kansas State Fair ticket office," Schulz said. "Be very careful, when you're buying tickets, making sure that it's through a credible source, the Kansas State Fair our our ticket company etix. If you're going out and buying it through another agency, there's a chance that you're not going to get your tickets. There's a chance that you're going to be paying two to three to four times more than you're supposed to."

Don't worry that you won't get in. There hasn't been a complete sell out for a concert for at least the last couple of years.
"We had a few people buy extra tickets when the Oak Ridge Boys went on sale," Schulz said. "Now they are selling them for two to three times the amount that we actually sold them for. They are selling tickets that haven't even been bought yet. They are looking at our site, seeing tickets and trying to sell them. When you, as the person wanting to come to the concert say yeah, I want to sit in that seat, then they go out and buy it from us."
Also, tickets bought from the Fair or from etix include gate admission for that day of the Fair.
