Bethany Joy Krafels, 43, died December 28, 2022 at Hospice House. She was born April 17, 1979 in Cordova, Alaska, to Gary Davidson and Bonnie (Rouse) Sears.

Bethany graduated from Haines High School, and received her bachelor's degree from Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a Histology Tech in the lab at Hutchinson Hospital for many years.

Bethany loved traveling, especially if it involved a beach. Always a creative person, she enjoyed interior design and holiday decorating, including for Christmas a different themed tree in every room.

On June 23, 2001 Bethany married John Krafels in Hutchinson. He survives.

Also surviving are: her daughters, Natalya and Taylin of the home; mother, Bonnie (Tim) Sears of Hutchinson; father, Gary (Ruthie) Davidson of Sun City, AZ; siblings, Matt (Autumn) Davidson of Council Bluffs, IA; Tiffany (Harrison) Larkin of Hope Mills, NC; father/mother-in-law, Ron and Nancy Krafels of Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Jill (Ryan) Roberts of Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Jeff (Sonia) Krafels of Manassas, VA; numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family members.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1602 N. Main St., Hutchinson. Those who wish to view the service online can find a link for viewing in Bethany’s obituary on the Elliott Mortuary website the day of the service. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
