HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Art Center reminds parents that they can still sign up for October's children’s art project event on Saturday.
Since October is a time of night time spookiness and fun, this month the classes will draw pumpkins and explore how to use lightness and darkness to make objects look three-dimensional and also to create mood, unity and movement.
They will use pastels and explore creating different types of lines and how layering colors can create value and make colors look more realistic.
If you finish your pumpkin or pumpkin patch early, you'll have time to create a spooky tree, too. Parents and guardians are encouraged to sign up their child for either Group A or Group B depending on skill level and interest. The Group A project is a little easier since only one pumpkin will be drawn, while the Group B project will be more of a challenge as multiple pumpkins will be drawn.
Learn more about these classes and register a child online at https://www.hutchinsonartcenter.net/monthly-childrens-art....
Registration is limited to 15 students/group per month.
